The Drink: DINO-SOUR
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz midori
- 2 oz gin
- sprite/7up to taste
Add all ingredients except sprite to shaker and fill shaker 3/4 full with ice. Shake for 15 seconds until cold. Strain into rocks glass with ice and top with sprite to taste (we used about 2 oz).
Our group was split on this game - some of us really liked it, but some of us were on the fence. It definitely had some interesting strategy elements, but the player interaction has the potential to ruin friendships.
The Good: It's really fun to create your own species and come up with silly names for them. There were a lot of interesting strategies that you can play with by combining the different species traits and there's enough randomness that you have to keep adjusting your strategy on the fly to match the cards you draw.
The Risk: We found that it was hard to play with a mix of experienced players and newbies. This was especially noticeable because the primary player interaction is really aggressive through the carnivore. Less experienced players who spend their time trying to make cool species may get totally destroyed and have their precious species go extinct if a more experienced player eats them for dinner. This also goes for experienced players who aren't fond of confrontation and aren't able to burrow fast enough away from the other players. #GetT-Reckd
⭐️⭐️⭐️ - fairly good game, as long as you have the thick skin trait ;)
🍹🍹 - losing your species is even sadder when you're drunkenly attached to it
💭💭💭💭 - even after playing a few times, we don't feel like we know how to win
📖📖 - most of the rules are on the cards, so really easy to pick up
- Drink whenever one of your species goes extinct because it's just the saddest
- Drink in solidarity every time you eat another player's species
